Colorado Vacation Time

This past week has got to be one of the best weeks. We started it off in Colorado Springs, CO (only 5.5 hours from our house). We stayed at a fabulous resort, Cheyenne Mountain Resort. My favorite part about it was the jetted-bathtub that we got to use. Ahhh! Here are some pictures of Christopher using the tub.

I think that he really enjoyed it also.

We did hiking in the Cheyenne Mountain State Park and then we up a Cog Train to the top of Pike's Peak. I think that the C-man is going to be a train lover.

The next day, we got to go to Focus on the Family's Headquarters. The play area for small kids called "Whit's End" named after Whit in Adventures in Odessey is a must-see for all families. We really enjoyed our ice cream cones. Eric got chocolate chip cookie dough in soft serve. I got mint chocolate chip and both were delish.

We got to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in the afternoon. They have a fantastic zoo with lots of giraffes. Eric & I went last summer when I was 6 month pregnant with Christopher. I enjoyed it so much more now that Eric was able to push Christopher in his stroller.

I rode the carousel with Christopher and he did great. We also got to feed the giraffes some crackers.

We went to Garden of the Gods for our final morning there. It also did not disappoint. So beautiful and the purity of nature is amazing.

Christopher is walking now, which is hard to believe. He will be keeping us very busy. More from the Rooks to come.
